Rock Climbing - Anglesey North Wales

WHAT DOES ROCK CLIMBING ON ANGLESEY NORTH WALES INVOLVE?

Rock climbing is an activity in which participants climb up, down or across natural rock formations. The goal is to reach the top of a pre-defined route.

People travel to Anglesey, North Wales from all around the world to rock climb, as it offers a wide range of climbing venues ranging from sea cliffs to mountain rock faces with a broad mix of climbing grades that suit anyone and everyone.

Rock climbing can be a physically and mentally demanding sport, one that often tests a climber’s physical and mental strength, endurance, agility and balance along with mind control. We will teach proper climbing techniques along with the use of specialized climbing equipment to ensure safe completion of all our routes.

If you join us climbing here on Anglesey, North Wales, depending on if it’s a full day or a half day we usually start off with a bit of ‘bouldering’. This doesn’t involve ropes and harnesses but stays low to the ground as it is a great way to hone your climbing skills and work out the best ways to move on a rock in preparation for the real deal. Moving on to rock climbing itself you will combine these newly acquired skills from bouldering with your will and determination to climb in style. Prior to starting your climb, you will be taught how to put on a climbing harness, tie into ropes and how to safeguard your teammates by belaying whilst they climb.
